Unfortunately, L.A is not that type of city, if you don't have a car, you can't really get anywhere. We don't even have a decent public transportation system. After being in cities like New York and London where you don't even have to own a car, I do wish I could do the same. Besides, most of the distances I'm usually crossing, take maximum 30 min, walking :) well, 40 on heels. I walk 10 minutes to work and 30 minutes back home, intentionally taking the longest way through parks and other more interesting streets :) I cannot imagine having so much time for other things on the way.
