I agree… great list. I just saw 500 Days of Summer — loved it! And the soundtrack was fantastic too. My latest favorite cover song is from a local indie band from NJ, Van Atta High, covering the old Starland Vocal Band hit “Afternoon Delight” and they have a funny video to go along with it:

“running up the hill” by placebo was covered by the chromatics … the cover is better than the original… all mellow disco elements…

off the top of my head, I really love Lauryn Hill’s cover of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”
